Your Impact
We are seeking an accomplished and dynamic Vice President of Sales to spearhead our sales initiatives in our game-changing deep tech cloud infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) venture. The role will primarily focus on distributing our high-performance cloud object storage solution through strategic channel sales. As an integral part of our core leadership team, this pivotal role requires a structured thinker with a proven history of executing successful sales strategies. The ideal candidate will bring deep cloud industry knowledge, channel sales expertise, exceptional leadership skills, a hands-on approach to leading by example and the motivation and grit to exceed revenue targets.

What you will do

  • Strategic sales leadership:Develop and execute effective sales strategies tailored to the demands of the cloud storage market. Analyze industry trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
  • Team growth and management:Build, lead, and empower a high-performing team of SDR, key account and channel sales professionals. Set clear performance expectations and provide guidance to ensure the team achieves or exceeds revenue targets. Collaborate seamlessly with other departments, such as Engineering and Product, to ensure the successful execution of sales initiatives.
  • Optimization and automatization of sales processes:Continuously assess and enhance the sales process to ensure sales excellence. Effectively manage the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact. Implement targeted training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the sales team, specifically tailored to the nuances of cloud storage solutions
  • Client and partner relationship excellence:Establish and nurture strong relationships with key clients and strategic alliance partners in the cloud storage ecosystem. Ensure a high level of client satisfaction and long-term client retention.
  • Sales analytics and reporting:Directly report to CEO/founder-level. Develop reliable sales forecasts and provide regular reports on sales performance, key metrics, and market trends within the cloud storage industry.

What you have done in the past

  • 6+ years of proven success as a sales leader within the cloud industry - ideally within cloud storage.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to guide teams toward exceeding revenue targets.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud principles, practices, and market trends.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • [Bonus] Advanced proficiency in the German language.
