WalletConnect is the defacto web3 communications protocol allowing interoperability between wallets and dapps across chains. We began with a single API and now facilitate millions of messages and connections each month. Today we’re building a suite of web3 SDKs including Web3Modal, Web3Wallet, Web3Inbox and more with a mission of empowering developers to build engaging web3 experiences so that as an industry, we can reach the next 100 million crypto users. We’ve raised $25 million from some of the world’s best crypto and infrastructure investors such as Union Square Ventures, 1kx, Shopify, Coinbase Ventures, Circle Ventures, and Uniswap Labs. Founded in 2018 by Pedro Gomes, we are a global, remote-first team that values openness, simplicity, generating impact and ownership. We are now looking for a hands-on Head of Marketing reporting to our COO, Jess Houlgrave to help us extend our leadership in the space .

The Role:

Suited to an creative, experienced and highly-driven marketing leader, who can operate across both strategy and deep execution, this role will drive growth for WalletConnect across our entire product suite for new and existing users. They’ll partner with leadership, product, engineering, business development and developer relations to drive our GTM and to ensure that we can use feedback from the market to inform our product development.

This person has experience in marketing technical B2B products in early stage companies and has a solid experience and understanding of the crypto ecosystem.They’ll have excellent communication skills and be able to tailor their style to convey our mission and product values to both the developer community as well as C-suites at scaling companies. Mostly, they’ll want to work with an amazing group of individuals to drive the future of Web3.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Strategically develop and refine WalletConnect’s brand positioning while operationalizing and ensuring consistent execution of the marketing messaging
  • Design and implement the overarching marketing strategy and OKRs across brand, field, content, growth, PR and product marketing
  • Manage marketing budgets, allocate resources effectively, and ensure ROI on marketing investments
  • Lead, mentor, and grow our marketing team, coordinating their activities across our key audiences (B2B, B2D and B2C) and stakeholders
  • Leverage data and user insights to ideate, test, iterate and optmize growth of our new and existing products
  • Explore, establish and manage key partnerships that will ensure the development of a healthy ecosystem for WalletConnect including relationships with media, podcasters, influencers and industry analysts to to secure coverage and increase visibility of WalletConnect and our spokespeople
  • Own the success and growth of WalletCon, the industry leading conference for Wallets in Web3
  • Establishing and nurture key relationships with media, podcasters, influencers and industry analysts to to secure coverage and increase visibility of Subspace and our spokespeople
  • Partner with leadership, product, engineering, business development and developer relations to drive growth
